Standard finishes and/or color options in the case of glass are listed on the reverse side of the tear sheets (and downloadable below). The natural color and character of wood and vellum will vary and subtly affect the final appearance of the piece. This is a natural occurrence and not considered a defect. Finish samples are provided for general reference only and finished product may reflect the variations of the natural materials. One sample will be provided upon request for any order. If more than one sample is requested, a fee will be charged for each sample thereafter. Custom finishes are available upon request and will require a minimum 10% upcharge. Mattaliano reserves the right to increase the upcharge for more difficult finishes. Custom finishes may also extend the lead time.
While most pieces in our collection have product pages on this website, we are continually releasing new designs that may not be pictured yet, or modifying current ones as needed for clients. Please contact Cassandra Flandermeyer for questions regarding coming products or customization of current designs. (email popup for name)
Mattaliano furniture and accessories are warranted against all defects and workmanship for one year from date of delivery. This warranty does not extend to COM or COL materials, or damage resulting from shipping, accident, alteration, misuse, tampering, negligence, abuse or ordinary wear and tear. Defective products will be replaced within the normal production timeframe that is required to reorder and manufacture the same product. Many wood and metal finishes are applied by hand and may vary in color, character and tone. While Mattaliano will make every effort to match a finish, no guarantee can be made of an exact match. Mattaliano does not guarantee finishes against fading and oxidizing. Variations in color and veining are inherent in stone and wood and considered to be part of the natural beauty. Furniture and lighting are handmade, and therefore is subject to slight variations.
All shipping is the responsibility of the client. Mattaliano will arrange for shipping at the purchaser’s expense upon request, but is not responsible for damage or delays caused by a third party. Shipping and handling charges will be billed on the final invoice.

Like leather, it breathes and moves as it wears. A clear coat of varnish or lacquer is added to protect the vellum during normal use, but it may also darken over time due to exposure to sunlight and heat. For proper care:

Gold, silver and other metallic leaf is made of the actual metal that has been beaten into super-thin sheets that average about 0.5 microns thick (a human hair is about 60 micros thick). It is also called foil or gilding, and each metal can yield a range of shades depending on the purity and color of the source material. It can be very delicate and must always be handled carefully.
